Planning for Travelling and blogging

My final goal of blogging lifestyle is able to travel around the world and blog at the same time. I’m still working on it and it’s going to be my 1~2 year plan. I hope to establish a stable income from my blogs before I start picking up my bags and move around. Most of the hotels nowadays have internet access, so that won’t be a problem for me to keep on posting. I happened to check out some of the hotels around the world and some of them really are like castle. Spending the time in these hotels might just like having the days in your life. Check out these hotels in Amsterdam and Rome. They are some of the finest hotels in Europe. It sure is a romantic place just nice for couples. Having to go there alone blogging might sound lonely but its one great way to spend time. Especially if you treat it as your freelance working time, inspirations might flows continuously. Anybody ever think of blogging on a topic related to Hotels and traveling? Just pick up your laptops and stay at the hotel that you’ll be discussing in your blog. A freelancer that travels around writing reviews about hotels and local attractions sounds nice, don’t you think.

Make money online with Gasmoney.net

Gasmoney.ney has been around for more then 3 years. The blog has a Google page rank 2 and Alexa rank of 94075 as for this moment. The blog is all about making money online. There are a lot of make money online blogs out there and each and every one of them has their own style of making money online. Some of the methods used might not be effective for you but at least you can learn their style of achieving their goals.

Gasmoney.ney uses a simple theme and layout. Nothing fancy around the blog, just plain simple page with contents and ads. The blog uses a 2 columned theme with only 5 posts on the page. That makes it a fast loading blog and easy to read. Although you need to scroll down a bit to read all the post but you won’t feel too compact. You’ll feel relax as there are a lot of space in between. Plus, each post is not too long and that makes it very fast for readers to go through. Judging from the design of the layout, the blog puts in a lot of considered from the readers point of view. Even with that many ads around the blog, readers will not feel the desired of the owner pushing for maximum profits. I can only feel that the blog is design so that readers can have a comfortable view of the blog.

The way the blog presented the content is what I like best. There are only 5 posts displayed. Each post is short, straight to the point and with pictures. It makes it interesting and doesn’t feel bored reading it. I think the colors of the blog have something to do with it also.

Gasmoney.ney has some interesting categories like advertise, make money, service, forums and themes. The first category that you might take a look is make money. That is where you can find a list of affiliate programs and advertisement network the blog used. Check carefully if the service is available in your country or just in the US only before signing up. You might not get paid if the programs are offered for US citizens only. Forums and themes are free for signup and download. They do have some terms and condition, so read before action. The blog also earn money from providing some services. They helped built proxy, forum installation, SEO your forum and business consultation with a little bit of payment.

Basically, it’s very relaxed when going through the blog with lots of good content. This is the type of theme that I like to have for my next Wordpress theme.

How caffeine affects me

Did you guys ever felt sleepy after having your meal? Well, I do. I always felt sleepy right after breakfast, lunch and dinner. The worst time for me is after lunch time. I can hardly keep my eyes open for the next 30 minutes after lunch. My solution for this is to have a nice cup of coffee right after the meals. For the lunch time section, I just got to have a strong cup of coffee. I have to admit that I need that caffeine to keep me awake so that I can keep on working. It actually keeps my brain running fresh and ideas running. I did experience a hard time when I ran out of coffee. I end up doing nothing that whole afternoon. All I can do is walking around the office to keep me awake. It took me at least an hour to actually get over it.

I found a picture that describes how caffeine affects me perfectly. Have a look.

Working with CSS to modified your blog

If you really want to make your blog stand out and unique, you’ll just have to do it yourself or hired someone to do it for you. In the beginning I think it would be best to spend some time learning CSS and do the modification yourself. There are few reasons that you should do this. You need to learn at least some basic knowledge of CSS programming. This helps a lot because you don’t have to depend on somebody else if it’s just a minor modification. You can do it yourself and that saves time and money. Even if you did hire a freelancer to design a new theme, you still need the knowledge to understand what he did and upload to your blog. A new theme always has a lot of small problems and adjustments that needs to be done. You’ll work faster and easier if you have the basic CSS knowledge. Another reason is that if you’re just starting to blog, learning a few CSS tricks can be fun. You can test and customize your blog any way you like. The way you customize and modified your blog can reflect your personality. It represented you in the cyber world and people will think “That’s the way this blogger does things”.

I know that there is a lot to learn about CSS and it’s not easy. Just take one step at a time. You don’t have to restraint yourself to learn everything in short time. All you need to do is continue learning without stopping. You can take it slow or fast. It’s all depending on how you want to do it. As long as you keep on learning, that is good enough. Most important of all, have fun. It will keep you motivated. Here’s a couple of links to show you some useful tricks on CSS.

  1. Ten CSS tricks you may not know
  2. Ten more CSS tricks youmay not know

Attending Programming classes or go for tutorials online

Going for a programming tuition is expensive. There are lots of programming classes available in the market but how do you make your choices? You might have the money to attend the most expensive classes but it might not be the best choice. Before you decide which tuition and classes to go, it would be wise to think about what you’re looking for. Are you looking to get a certificate so that you can apply for a job or simply just wanted to learn some programming? If you’re looking for a certificate, then a well known or famous school is what you’re looking for. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve learned but it’s the graduation certificate from that famous school matters most. Many employers judged your ability base on which school you graduated. They can’t really know how good you are unless they test your programming skills. The first thing that you need to consider is to get employed and you can catch up the learning part later on. Speaking of the learning part, going for programming class is not the only way to do it. If you’re not use to the teaching method then you might not able to catch up with the class. At the end of the tuition, you might just pick up as little as 20% of what you have paid for.

Another way that you can try is learn the programming by yourself online. There are lots of tutorials and tools online that you can refer and download. You might spend more time and the progress is slow but you’ll still get what you want. Best of all, it’s free. Try it out, who knows this might be the best way for you to learn programming.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just a couple of days ahead. I’m sure many of you already have plans for this special day. Flowers will be selling around everywhere and with the price will surely over the roof. Here’s one good idea for you to earn extra cash. You can set up a counter to recycle the flowers on 15th February. I’m sure a lot of flowers will be sold before and on 14th February. After Valentine’s Day I’m sure not everybody will keep the flowers. There should be tons of flowers in the neighborhood during that day and if those flowers are not taken care of, it might become garbage. Thus create a lot of unnecessary work to dispose the flowers. If you set up a temporally station to recover those flowers, I’m sure you can make other use with it. In fact you might even earn some decent money from it. Be the first to start this business and you’ll earn a lot of money on that day.

Protect your PC from spyware and viruses

There are couples of software that you need in order to make sure that your PC is protected. The fist software is anti spyware and the second software is antivirus. Internet security software is the basic things that you need before you stat using your PC or goes online. Especially if you’re doing business or working using PC, then this software is a must to have. So, what are the consequences if you do not protect your PC from spywares and viruses? The first thing is that you’ll notice you PC starts to run slow. Some of the programs will auto run by itself. You’re unable to work smoothly as there are other pop up programs running along. When things get worst your windows will crash and you’ll lose all your information within. That’s not all. The information that you store in your PC will be collect by those who plant the virus or spyware. Even if you’re using your PC for online banking, your account number and access pin will leak out due to the viruses. That includes credit card numbers that you key in when shopping online. Just imagine how the situation will be if your doing business online. So, protect you PC with anti spyware and antivirus software before you lose everything.

Looking for Internet Service Provider

When you’re looking for an internet service provider, what actually do you have in mind? Do you consider the price, service, speed or equipment used? The first thing you need to think before getting an internet service provider is the usage. Either you’re using it for email, chit chat, business, surfing net or online gaming, you need to check before placing your order. If you’re using it for business, then you need to have a reliable, good service and high speed internet service provider. You need to pay more for the benefits of your business. If you’re using it for email or surfing net, then you can get a low cost internet service provider with limited access. Depending on what type of usage, look for the suitable internet service provider. Thus before making you decision, you need to compare internet service providers. Make a detail research before you place your order. Most of the service providers will need you to subscribe at least a year. Do your homework or you’ll have to stick with it for a year before making changes. It’s not just different companies that you need to check, but also types of services. Few types of services that you need to check for example dial up, DSL broadband, cables, satellite and wireless services. You can choose either one for your convenience. There are pros and cons on every type of connection. Check before subscribe and you won’t regret.

PayPal debit card sure is nice

While I’m waiting for my Public Bank Debit card, I get to know PayPal also has debit card services. Sadly the card is only available in the US. What is the difference between using a PayPal debit card and a local bank debit card to withdraw money in foreign country other then US? That is if we assume foreign countries also able to apply for PayPal debit card. If you’re using the local bank debit card, all you need to pay is the fees when you transfer your money from PayPal to your debit card. The transaction fee is $5. You can transfer $500 daily from PayPal to you local bank debit card. You can then withdraw your money from the local bank that provides you the debit card. If you’re withdrawing money from a different bank, there will be charges.

If you’re using PayPal debit card to withdraw money, then you need to search for appropriate ATMs with the CIRRUS logo. That is one of the logos that are supported by PayPal debit card. PayPal charges $1 for every withdrawal from the ATM machines. The daily limit that you can withdraw money from ATM is $400. You can withdraw money from any ATM machines as long as it is supported by the card.

Both methods work almost the same. At this moment, PayPal debit card is only available in the US only. So we have to use the second method. Even so, you still need to check with the bank if they supported transaction from PayPal. But still it would be cool to have a PayPal debit card. I’ll just have to wait for that to happen.
