I wonder if my dream girl will appear if I'm having this coffee. I'll definitely order a huge container of coffee supply if this really works. And I'll drink this coffee for the rest of my life.

Espresso Business is a site to help those who are interested in opening up their own coffee house. It's not just about selling coffee but make money selling coffee. The site also has training materials and Barista training school but it's NOT FREE. The smell of money is much more than the smell of coffee at this site. But still it's a realistic world. You need to actually make some money or profits in order to continue the coffee house business.

I definitely love to have my car stereo connected to the tower and let me play my favorite songs. Having a cup of favorite coffee while enjoying my favorite songs is enjoyable. Mmm... is that the new Tokyo Tower?

Coffee or Beer after midnight

I love to work at night. Especially when it’s after midnight, the environment is just nice for my brain to function and focus properly. There are less distraction and things around are much quiet compare to day time. The only thing which I need to fight to keep this golden moment up a bit longer is sleepiness. Obviously coffee is the best choice but still beer is very seducing at night. If there is a lot of work to be done, than coffee is my choice. If there isn’t much work, than beer it is.

Having coffee in the middle on the night really can boost my focus and concentration. But then I might have problem with sleep later. It’s kind of difficult to control the amount of coffee consume just enough to complete my work. But still when it comes to work that requires calculation, serious thoughts and management. I still have to risk staying awake for the whole night.

Having beer at night makes me feel like partying. It opens up my mind and let me write anything that goes through my mind easily. This is the best time for me to express my feelings and printed them out online. Couple of beers right at the edge of getting drunk is just perfect. It’s like having a short period of buff to boost my thoughts and writing. This let me write something different from ordinary. I won’t be spilling out secrets or greetings others’ ancestors but I’ll be able to write something deep in my heart. I suppose I can call it the moment of truth.

P/S: I wonder if this is the reason why authors and writers always have stimulation beverage when they are writing.

The Very Important Coffee Break

Coffee Break is good. Coffee break is needed in every company, work place and event. We need coffee break in order to keep on working and going. Coffee break is like a petrol station in the middle of desert. We need refill to keep the energy up. Everything stop without coffee break. Car needs petrol to keep going and we need coffee to keep working.

Regardless of what's the joke behind this commercial, the coffee is still the main focus. Coffee is needed badly when driving. Especially for taxi driver, coffee is one of the most important stuff to keep awake.

Museo Coffee Roasters

This is a simple black and white coffee logo from Museo Coffee Roasters. The white image seems to look like a coffee maker or a coffee grinder. It’s just too small to determine what the image represents. I suppose we will only know what the white image is by contacting Museo Coffee Roasters. If anybody going to do that, please try out their coffee and let me know. I just wonder if their coffee tastes good.

This is really an interesting coffee logo from JumpinGoat Coffee. It was said that when the goats ate the coffee cherry from the tree the caffeine made the goats jump.

This is really an interesting fishing method. But I suppose the most interesting facts is the man controlling the ducks and the woman controlling the man. The coffee seems to have nothing to do with the topic. Strange but still interesting.

Stumptown Coffee Brewing Guide

Here's a nice simple coffee brewing guide from Stumptown Coffee. The steps are simple and clear with pictures. Just by looking at the pictures is enough to make me get out of my chair and go for a cup of coffee. There are several types of coffee brewing methods available. There are cafe solo, espresso, melitta, vacuum pot, moka pot, chemex and press pot. I kind of like the vacuum pot brewing guide a lot. Take a look at the guides, maybe you'll learn some coffee brewing method.

The Gate Café at my Home Town

It’s a hot day today and my house has been experiencing power failure since early morning. I haven’t been able to online after having my breakfast and there is work to be done online. Right after having my lunch and enough waiting for the electricity to resume, I decided to head on to the coffee house near my house.

The Gate Café is the name of the coffee house and the owner of the coffee house is one of my high school friends. It’s a small town. So I pretty much know everybody. Usually I do my online work at home but today I’m force to do it here due to power failure at my house. The Gate Café is a small coffee house where you can get nice decent meals, cakes and coffee. As I went right after lunch hour, there aren’t many customers around. One thing I like about small town coffee house is that when the meal serving peak hour is over, people will normally clear out and you’ll get lots of space. As there are not many customers in the coffee house, you get to specially order the coffee to make it taste better. It’s the same regular coffee. Just that they get to take the time to make the coffee without rushing. That is why sometimes I love to have my coffee when things are slow and easy.

On the right side of the wall after you step into The Gate Café, you’ll see some pictures hanging around unevenly. These are the pictures of all the customers who visited The Gate Café. Some of them are foreigners and famous local people who had a good time at the café. Although The Gate Café is just a simple regular coffee house in a small town, but still some unexpected guests do shows up. Every coffee house has their story. You just have to hang out long enough to dig out the story. Other than the coffee and the story, you also get to see the people who visited the coffee house. You might call it people watching but you’ll get to study the community and the culture within the area.

I normally don’t hang out at The Gate Café to do my online work, but still this is a good experience for me. I get to have my coffee, my online work done and the opportunity to check out things around the café in detail. I guess I gain a lot more than I expected.

Coffee House with a Hobby

Honestly, I think it’s really difficult for businesses that purely rely on selling coffee to survive nowadays. If you’re thinking about starting your own coffee shop, the first thing that pops up in your mind is competition. We have Starbucks, Coffee Bean, McD coffee and many other coffee houses all around us. Normally there will be at least couple of coffee house if the area has lots of coffee consumers.

So you can’t just simply open up a coffee shop without having any secret weapon to fight your competitors. You need to think of a secret weapon that you can use to win the competition. That means you need to find extra ways to attract or draw customers to your coffee house. One of the ways is to include a hobby to your coffee house. Some hobby can easily mix well and goes along with coffee, for example reading. Yes, you can add a mini library into your coffee house. Customers can have a cup of their favorite coffee while reading. Plus you actually create an environment which people who loves to read can get to gather and share their mutual interest. Customers can gather for a reading session, books discussion, exchanging books, book research and many other activities related to book.

A place where people can hang out for books other than just coffee will be nice. Some businesses even started out with hobby and later introduce a coffee section. That works too. People definitely need a drink while focusing on their hobby. I just wonder who’s that guy in the logo of Caffe Medici. But still I’m more concern about the coffee he’s having. At Caffe Medici, it seems like they strive for the highest quality in every cup of coffee they make. No doubt it’s a place for coffee lovers. Do you want to have your regular cup of coffee or the fine cup of nice tasting coffee? I think you know just the place to go after reading this.

Is that a Wolf Logo on Stewarts Coffee?

Stewarts coffee existed long before I was born. I suppose the coffee must taste good as the coffee has been brewing since 1913. That’s about 100 years old of producing and brewing experience. The private blend coffee seems to have a wolf or a dog logo. The animal is on top of the shield but I’m not sure the identity of the animal because it’s too small to figure it out. Well, regardless of what logo the coffee company has, I’m only concern about the taste of the coffee. The taste of a fine cup of coffee is the only thing that I’ll remember.

Is is a bird or a plane? No it's definitely not superman. It's just a nice cup of coffee. Every time I see this unique presentation of preparing a cup of coffee, it just makes me going for my second cup of coffee.

Starbucks iPhone apps seems like a useful tool which allow customers to get out of the line. The application has a 2D bar code that helps customers to order and pay for their favorite coffee fast. The apps uses a swipe transaction system using semacode technology. I think this apps is very useful for those who always in a hurry to get their morning coffee before work. Customers rush into the coffee shop, swipe with iPhone and just wait for their coffee to go. How fast customers can leave with their favorite coffee is all depends on how soon their orders can be process and their coffee can be prepared.


P/S: I think most people uses this apps because it's way cool to use iPhone to order and pay for their coffee. Especially when there is a long Q, it's fun to use the apps without having to wait in the line.

Autocrat with the bird

The logo of Autocrat is the bird. The company seems to produce nice coffee for more than 100 years. I wonder how their coffee taste like. I definitely like to know what kind of bird is use for their logo.

Hawaiian Energy Coffee and Volcano

The logo of the Hawaiian Energy Coffee is Volcano. I suppose this is related to the geographic characteristic of the coffee origin.  I just wonder if the lava or volcano related soil makes the coffee taste better. Guess we just have to taste it to find out.

Cherry blossom and coffee makes good combination. But still that's just for the case in the morning. Beer is still the best choice during night time.

Double Flow Coffee

I took this picture from Super Stock just to explain the question that has been bugging me for a long time. Why is there double flow instead of single flow when making espresso coffee? I'm sure there is a good reason for that. But I just wonder if it has anything to do with the flavor of the coffee. Anybody care to explain this?

Starbucks has a logo that looks like a mermaid. Zeke's coffee has a logo that looks like a crab. I just wonder what else they use to represent their coffee. I think it might be interesting to check out every coffee logo around the world. Let's see if they use other interesting logo other than see creatures. Sometimes I wonder how they define their logo and what makes them decide to use those symbols or icons.

Regardless of when we are born, we need to work to survive. Good thing about living in the world right now is that we have coffee. It's nice to have a cup of favorite coffee before and after work. But I prefer to have my coffee before work, and after work it's beer time.
