Wordpress Theme Generator - Create your own Wordpress theme easily

If you do not have any knowledge about HTML, CSS or PHP, it would be difficult for you to create a Wordpress theme. Like me I choose blogger as my first blog because of its simple widget style edit theme. All I need to do is select the required items to include to my blog and just drag it to any location I want. It may not have many changes but at least I can have my style of theme created. When it comes to Wordpress, if you want to edit the theme then you need to learn a bit of programming. That sure is a bit of headache for some people.

Here is a site that I found that enable you to easily create your own Wordpress theme just like blogger – Wordpress Theme Generator. All you need to do is change the settings in the windows on the left. When you’re done, just preview and save to download the theme you created. Finally up load it to your web hosting provider and you’re done. The theme you create might looks simple but at least it is a unique theme.

Ever think of getting a pair of binoculars?

I always wanted to get myself a pair of binoculars when I was in high school. That’s because when ever I went for a football game, concert or live event my seats are always the furthers one. All I can see is lots of movement that looks like an army of ant rather then human. I get my own binoculars after I submit my request verbally to my parents for about 6 month. I was quite happy about it but then I found out that the binoculars my parents bought me just able to increase the size of a human being an inch. Not much different using it to watch a football game from the far seats. A bit of disappointment but still I can understand as both my parents don’t have much knowledge when it comes to buying a pair of binoculars.

Now I can easily find any type of binoculars on the net. There are a lot of site that sell binoculars. As for this post I’ll be introducing OpticsPlanet.net which offers a wide range of high quality binoculars from night vision binoculars, digital camera binoculars, bird watching binoculars, hunting binoculars, astronomical binoculars, marine binoculars and military binoculars. There wasn’t much choice during my high school time. Now there are even lot more brands to choose from like Nikon binoculars, Swarovski binoculars, Celestron binoculars, Leupold binoculars, Meade binoculars, Bushnell binoculars, Steiner binoculars, Tasco binoculars, Brunton binoculars and many more.

I can just take my time and go through each and every review that product info before I make my decision. There are some articles of “how-to-buy binoculars” just for anyone that is unfamiliar with binoculars. Best of all customers can enjoy the free UPS delivery with all binoculars over $29.95. That’s one good deal from a secure online shopping environment.

Now days, it’s just so easy to buy anything from the net. Well, almost.

Sign up web hosting with Hostgator

The concept of affiliate program has been used by many online businesses. One of them is the web hosting company. In this post I’ll be talking about Hostgator.com web hosting company. Like other web hosting company, Hostgator.com provides cPanel, Reseller and dedicated website hosting to customers. In order to promote and increase their sales, Hostgator.com has an affiliate program that we can earn some extra money. Their program is as below.

The more sales you referred in a month, the more you earn. The only drawback is that you have to wait for 60 days. That’s because they need to make sure that the sales are not fraud. Banners and links are available after you sign up as an affiliate. Payment can be made using Paypal.

Freelance Switch, a community of freelancers

Here’s a site where you can find lots of freelancer hanging out here from all over the world. FreelanceSwitch sure looks very nice indeed. It does not have the smell of the office work. It looks relaxing, fresh and fun. The site really makes me want to hang out for a bit longer. FreelanceSwitch did a very good job on collecting all the information on freelancing. They have a blog, job board, hired gun, forums, pod casts and resources.

The blog of FreelanceSwitch provides the latest news regarding freelancing, advice and opinions. You can find pretty much everything about the site and the people behind it. That’s the place to see which direction that they want to move the site.

The Job board is the place where you search for jobs that suits you. It’s the same as other freelancing jobs site. FreelanceSwitch categories their jobs into design/illustration, programming, writing/blogging, Misc and flash.

FreelanceSwitch also plans to release an ebook regarding all the ins and outs of freelancing from setting up your freelance business to getting clients to pay up. The book is still being edited and will be release soon. If you’re interested, you can subscribe their mailing list to get a $10 off.

FreelanceSwitch also have a forums section where freelancer can discussion their problems and share their experience. If you’re tired of all the readings and typing, you can check out their Freelance Radio to hear all the tips, tricks and news of freelancing. You can just load them up to your Ipod through ITunes.

Finally you can check out they freelance resources for some freelancing guides. Not much but helpful.

Bottom line, FreelanceSwitch covers almost every aspect of freelancing. There are a lot of advertisements in the site but still it’s easy to find the main content. Not a problem at all. The next thing that FreelanceSwitch need to do is just get more job listed and content on the site. It’s pretty much one good site that benefits freelance writers.

Business idea from drinking coffee

It’s a small idea but it’s still considered as a good business idea. Well, as long as you make money it then it is consider good. I just found out this special item that they sell in Canada, call the rim roller. Basically it’s just a device for you to roll up the rim of a paper cup. Why do you need to do that? That’s because in Canada when you buy yourself a cup of coffee from Tim Hortons, you’ll get a chance to enter their yearly contest and win yourself some prizes. The ticket is just right beneath the rim of the coffee cup. After finish your coffee, you need to roll up the rim to see if you win yourself anything. It may seem easy but it’s going to take more then 10 sec to do it. Try it yourself and you’ll know.

In order to make things easy, Paul Kind invented the rim roller that takes only 3 sec to roll it up. It’s a pretty handy tool if you need to roll up at least a cup of coffee everyday. The tool cost $1.95 and it really does worth it if you’re using it everyday.

When you think of it, this rim roller was created because there is a demand of people wanted to roll up the coffee cup. The reason of that is because of the yearly prize that Tim Hortons offering. This makes me think that business opportunity is all around us. The question is that are we able to see it and making a profit out of it. This goes the same as earning money online. The ones that see where the demand is and provide the proper needs will be getting the profits out of it.

Review Me just like PayPerPost

I have been sign up with ReviewMe for more then a month and I’m still waiting for them to approve my blog. It seems that it’s going to take more time for my blog to meet their minimum requirement. I sure need to work on my blog to reach their high qualification standards. That makes me desperately want to get ReviewMe approval more. It’s recognition that my blog have reached a certain rank in search engine.

Once my blog get approved, bloggers will be able to request a review of their blog through my blog for a certain amount of price. So far the biggest amount of price that I’ve seen is $400. For start, I think I’m OK with just $20.

For the time being, the only thing that I can earn money from ReviewMe is their Affiliate programs. You get $25 for every new advertiser that you bring in, and they need to purchase at least a review. This is much better then writing the review yourself if your price is set below $25.

You can submit your blog to ReviewMe even if your blog is still young. Once your blog get through their qualification, they’ll inform you. Before that you can try to promote their Affiliate programs. By the way, the pay out is by PayPal.

Almost time for season celebration

It’s October now and soon we’ll be celebrating Halloween. Yep, it’s almost end of the year and lots of preparation need to be done for the season celebration. Have you start to prepare all the stuff and shopping around? If you haven’t, then you might want to check out CouponChief for discounts and offers. It's a site that you need to check out when you 're doing online shopping.

It’s always been difficult for me to get someone a gift especially for the ones that I care about. I spent almost a month doing that, that’s why I always try to do it more early. Preparing a gift is a lot more harder then making money online. The more heart and soul that you put into preparing the gift will directly reflect to the people who received it. So don’t disappoint them. I’m sure you love to see their smiling face once they received your gift.

There are a whole bunch of things that I want to get for my family, things like Dell PC, Nike shoes and Timberland stuff. CouponChief have all the coupons that I need so that I won’t be over budget. Actually, I’m still able to get myself some coffee products like StarBucks, CoffeeAM and CoffeeForLess. Now that’s just what I like to have.

In order to maintain a blog, posting at a consistent basis is a must. Trying to maintain minimum a post per day can be hard work. Unless you have nothing else to do but blogging then that might be an easy task. In order to keep up the posting, a lot of the blogs are hiring freelancing blog writers to fill up the gap. It does help to ease things up, besides bringing some new writing style to the blog. Thus create some job opportunities for stay at home bloggers. Is Amazon.com good for you?

I’m sure Amazon.com is not a stranger to all of you. Amazon.com is one of the biggest online shops in the world. Yes, it is that big. So, does it big enough for us to make money signing under it? Well, you might want to think about it. There are a few things that you need to consider before trying out Amazon.com.

The basic things about selling Amazon product in your site is try to find the same product category that matches you blog. Most of us have this part done correctly. Before that we actually need to consider the demand and supply. When we check on Amazon.com, we can see that there are only several countries with Amazon international site. These countries are USA, UK, Canada, German, Japan, France and China. So if you’re staying at these countries, then you have better access of Amazon.com services. This means that your customers will have faster delivery and not much problem on the transaction.

When we look at the business side, if Amazon.com set up an international site at one country, it means that there is a market there. There are enough customers from that country to allow them to open up a new international site.

If you’re staying at one of the country stated above and most of your blog readers are from your country side, then it’s not a bad idea to promote Amazon.com. You have a good supplier and a confirm market there, all you need to do is just set up your e-shop. As for the rest of us that are from other country, it would be better to sign off Amazon.com, unless you can pull enough blog readers from the listed country above.

P/S: I’m not saying that you can’t success with Amazon.com. Just that you have a better chances if you’re staying in the listed country above.

Video and Web Conferencing for Everybody

Initially it was just green color alphabets. Later on we have more colors and then pictures are available. Now we are getting more videos online. That’s about what is going on right now on the net. As the speed of connection increases, we can watch better videos without waiting. Thus we have video conferencing that connects everybody from all over the world. Some blogger even use videos as part of their post. This you can check out ProBlogger.

Even my blog have 2 video posted about coffee. Of cause if I want to make my own video, that’s not going to be a problem. I just like writing it out more then saying it out. There are some benefits of using video then writing. Video makes is easy because a few second of video clips can take out thousand words. Also “seeing is believing” and it makes things more convincing and real. Different situation requires different method to get the best results.

Video conferencing can get people closer as we can see each other live. Skype, Yahoo Messenger, MSN provided these services. I’m sure most of you already using it. Some site and blog included them to help or get close to their readers. It’s really a good idea to have video conferencing with all your readers but you need to spare more time to do it. If you have few thousand readers waiting to have a video conferencing with you, then its better that you make a video and post it. Bloggers are a bit difficult because there is only 1 of you. It’s difficult to control the situation when you have many readers. Those sites that are offering help using video conferencing hire many operators to do the work. Readers are looking for solution and not for that particular person. So, as for us blogger, it’s better to do it just like Problogger.

Coffee, Good or Bad?

According to the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry that coffee contains soluble fiber that can help lower cholesterol.

Harvard researchers found that regular coffee drinkers had a significantly lower risk of type 2 diabetes than those who abstained. The more they drank, the lower their risk.

American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that healthy people 65 and over who drank four or more cups of caffeinated beverages daily had a 53 percent lower risk of heart disease than non-coffee-drinkers.

It seems that drinking coffee is not that bad. That is if you compare it with smoking. At least there is news that saying coffee might be helpful to our health. Don’t get me wrong by saying that we need to drink coffee to stay healthy or to prevent diseases. I’m just saying having a cup or two coffees daily won’t be harmful to healthy person. That is really good news to coffee lovers like us. At least we don’t have to worry about having too much or need to cut back and control the consumption.

Pay Per Click Programs for Malaysia and Singapore

Most of us know that we could earn some extra money if we sign up Google Adsense and put some ads on our blog. Some of us did earn a lot and some of us are not getting anything from it. I think most of us have to wait for a long time to reach the minimum payout of $100. Especially for those Malaysian and Singaporean that are writing a personal blog, Adsense might not be a good choice. Most of your readers will be from the local region and it would be best to have local ads. In stead of using Google Adsense, it would be best to try out with the local pay per click programs. Here are 2 local pay per click programs that suits Malaysia and Singapore.

You have to know who your readers are and which people that your advertisers target. Match them right and you’ll get your earnings. If you’re a Malaysian or Singaporean and you blog about your personal stuff, then these 2 programs might suit you best. By the way both sites pay in RM.

Pay Per Click with BidVertiser

This is another pay per click program other then Google Adsense. I said it before and I’ll say it again. If you’re ban by Adsense then try out this program. In order to compete with Google Adsense, BidVertiser has provided something special to attract customers. Here’s a couple of condition provided by BidVertiser.

When a user signs as an advertiser and first spends $10, we'll credit your account with $5. When that same advertiser spends $50, you will be credited with an additional $20.
When a user signs as a publisher and first earns $10, we'll credit your account with $10. When that same publisher earns $50, you will be credited with an additional $40.

The above is the benefits that you’ll get when you refer an advertiser or publisher. When you try to promote BitVertiser, then you’ll need to tell your readers what benefits that they’ll get. That’s a bit different. For Example:

If you sign up as an advertiser, you’ll get $20 of free clicks.

As a publisher, the minimum pay out using check is $50. If you choose to Paypal then the minimum pay out will be $10 only.

It’s that simple, you just need to let people know what benefits they’ll get by signing up. Of cause you have to study your readers and understand what is considered as benefits to them. Just put yourself in your readers’ position and ask this question. “Why should I sign up?”

What’s the deal with dealdotcom.

Everyday dealdotcom is giving out a product for new registration. If you’re interested in signing up, don’t rush. Check out the product first before you sign up. Wait until they give out the product that you like most. Of cause you have to be the lucky one fro that day in order to receive the deal. Few things that I like about dealdotcom and one of them is the affiliate program they have. It’s a 2-tiered program where you get 35% of profit for the person you referred and another 15% when this person refers someone else. This stays on for the rest of our life, which is if the site is still on. Another good thing is that you have the chance to sell your product here. Think of it as another alternative place to sell your product.

Blogsvertise, another Par per Post

Blogsvertise is pretty much the same as PayPerPost. Just signed up, wait for your blog to approve and you can start posting. Payments are done by using Paypal after 30 days assigned task has been approved. If you don’t have a blog then you can consider using their free blog services. Of cause if you’re serious about blogging, it’s better to get your own domain and hosting services. (I’m in the progress of getting one.) Another feature Blogsvertise has is affiliate program for you to sign up advertisers. Blogsvertise pays you 20% of what advertisers you refer spend on advertising.

I’m always searching for new sites that providing this services. It’s not just Pay per Post only, other online income too. Better to put my eggs in different baskets, different source of income makes it more secure and stable.

Success or Failure

A person that never fails before can only share his success. So we study his success to duplicate them. A person that did not success before can only shares his failure.

So we study his failure to avoid them. Either of them are good examples that we could learn. The truth is the number of success is almost equal to the numbers of failure. You can read this from almost all the novels publish by those successors, but actually everybody around you can tell you that.

How do you define success and failure in earning an extra income online? To me, you fail when you decided to quit trying it. It doesn’t matter how long or how many times you fail, all you need is just one success and that’s all. When you taste the first success, all the failure and the things you’ve done is worth it. Then you’ll try to do it again and again. The first check that I received from my online income is just $100 plus. It’s a small amount but still it is consider a success. It keeps me going on. All I need to do is just have a little faith and keep on blogging and learning. Eventually I’ll get the figure that I want for my check.

Post Post Post, Tag Tag Tag

OK. Let's do the Tag. Jay tagged me, so I decided to keep the ball rolling. Thanks Jay.

Start tag

This is based on the SEO theory that links to posts inside your blog are more important than links to your home page. I have selected three posts I want to promote along with my site’s name. You will do the same thing.

Keep it simple and spread our good work around to both share and build some ratings! Pick three posts that you feel are your best or those you simply want to promote. Your site name is listed with your 3 selected posts beneath.

Once you have your post up: Add the sites and post links of the folks you tagged onto your post. Try to add the site and post links to anyone involved to maximize the effectiveness.

Tag a minimum of 5 people! Try your best not to double tag people so it will spread better!

Please actually read the posts from everyone so you can see some really good work from our beloved blogging friends! Make your title a little different from mine to avoid repetitive titles.

Please try maintain some friendly updates to your post too.

Pay Per Click with WidgetBucks

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!

Now that we can withdraw money from Paypal, signing up programs that pay through Paypal feels different from now on. In fact it feels like having a faster ride. OK, back to serious stuff. WidgetBucks is a new site that provides pay per click services. You earn money when people click on a WidgetBucks ad widget on your site or when you refer WidgetBucks to another person. All you have to do is just place the WidgetBucks ad widget into your site. The minimum payout is $50. The good news is that when you sign up WidgetBucks, you'll automatically receive a $25 bonus. So all you have to do is earn another $25 and you’ll get paid. Plus if you’re able to refer some people then it will be faster. You’ll receive 10% referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people you refer for the next 12 months.

This is another site that you can use to replace Google Adsense. If you’re ban by Google Adsense, then you certainly have to try out this program. For those of you that are still using Google Adsense, you can still place WidgetBucks ad widget together with Adsense. They are both compatible. But still you have to be careful with the term of Adsense. Better to be safe then sorry.

More good news from Google and Western Union

Just right after Paypal let us withdraw money, Google and Western Union brought us good news about money withdrawal. Last year there was news about Google Adsense testing out payment through Western Union, and today this method has been confirm available. Country listed below can now received their Adsense payment through Western Union agents. These countries are China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Romania, Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia. You can just cash out the day after the payment is made. You can check if a Western Union Agent is in your area HERE.

This really saves us a lot of time, and I mean a lot of time. Below is the time comparison.

Payment by check--> snail mail (3 weeks) --> Bank in check (Clearance 4 weeks)

Payment by Western Union--> Next day

It saves us about 2 month time. My first Adsense check took me about 3 month because I need to wait for the snail mail to confirm my address. The waiting time really can make you crazy because you’ll worry that the mail might get lost. Can’t really sit tight unless you’ve receive the mail. This new payment method really helps a lot. Mostly mentally help.

One thing I’m concern about is that with this payment method we still have to go to Western Union agent every month to cash out. Wouldn’t it be great if we could set up a bank account with the Western Union agent and instruct the payment to transfer directly to our bank account? Save us the trouble to visit the bank each month. Plus you know how fast the services in the bank can be, if you know what I mean.

PayPerPost, here I come...

After waiting for about a month, my blog finally get approved by PayPerPost. Now I’m able to blog and earn some extra cash to cover my internet expenses. Of cause this is not the only income and it’s never too much to have another income. I have known PayPerPost for a long time. I think it’s about a year before, back before PayPerPost have their homepage change. During that time a lot of bloggers already have PayPerPost on their blog. I wanted to try it out but then I don’t have a blog at that moment. Plus I was too busy with my daytime work and don’t have much time for blogging. Still I keep my eyes on PayPerPost as it seems to be a good way to earn extra money. During this period I’ve witness the change and grow of PayPerPost. More and more bloggers are joining PayPerPost. The big changes are when PayPerPost have their new Webpage design. Their services are well explained and break down to details. Especially for the separation of advertiser and bloggers, that makes it much easier to find our way.

The thing that I love about PayPerPost is that it keeps on update their services. The market and people always change. Thus a good site will always change and update to fulfill the need of the market. At this moment PayPerPost surely satisfied my needs. I’ve seen how PayPerPost a year before, I’m sure they will be better for the year to come. There are a few more sites that provide the same service as PayPerPost, but still PayPerPost is on the top list.

I’m still new in PayPerPost community but I think I’ll like it. For sure I’ll learn to write better and earn more money. Plus I get to know more friends as I keep on writing. The most important things of all is that blog ethics will always be uphold. With the money that I earn, I’ll use it to grow this site and make it better. Mmm…I think I should get myself a domain.
