We have seen a lot of young bloggers that earn a decent amount of money at a very young age. Some of them are just about the age of 13 if I’m not wrong. This get me think about the things that I should let my children do in the future. When I was young my parents encouraged me to write diary. Now I was thinking of instead of writing it on papers why not we just go a head and type it on a blog. The results can be better because kids can learn more things other then just improving their writings. They get to learn to use a computer, internet, programming, software and networking. I think it’s a good practice. Having a diary on a blog sounds interesting to me but there is one thing that I’m worried about. That is how secure the blog diary can be. I know that we can set the diary blog to be a private site with passwords and user names but still can we be sure that nobody else gets into it? Well, I’m not sure about that. Perhaps instead of writing a diary blog, we could just change it to”a place to write freely but have to mind your language” just in case somebody else hack into your blog.
Will you let your kids blog or write diary?

hi..agree with you, that is why i want to start another blog for my soon to be born baby..
Good for you and congratulation.
i prefer them to blog and earn their own pocket money from there...lol...sounds too soon...but i'll still encourage them to write their own diary on a book :)
Well, I really think blogging is a good idea but just that I'm a little worry about it. If I really let my kids blogging then for sure I have to keep an eyes on it.
Well, as you know I maintain a blog. I still manage to keep a journal though.
My kids are still young but I do encourage them to keep journals as well. My eldest is 8 and is on his second journal ;)
P.S. I posted this one on the wrong entry hehe. Here it is now :)
Wow...that's a good start. When I was that age, I was pretty much outside running then sitting down writing journals.
good input, getting kids to blog is some how create the discipline n habit of penning down
I think this is actually good in learning, especially in composition. By the way the use of pen will be reducing. I think the kids will learn to type better in future.
