More Jobs for Freelancers

I’ve notice that more sites related to freelancing jobs are been created lately. Beside Elance, I found another 2 new freelancing sites. Well, with the help of the cyber world internet people are able to work at home. In fact if you’re good in what you do, you can be self employed without signing under any company. In this case you have full control of your work and your time. This may sound nice because you have what we call “Freedom” but still there are some pros and cons about it. For sure this road will be lonely. If you work in a company, then you have the chance to meet up with different kind of people. Sometimes it does feel good to be able to “talk” with somebody instead of “type” with somebody.

FreelanceNation jobs are more from US. It’s new so you might have a greater chance to get the job.

EasyFreelancing jobs are more from Malaysia. This site is also new as you can see only a few jobs available.

If you’re new in freelancing jobs, then it would be better that you look for projects here. Fewer competitors meaning you’ll have better chance to get the jobs. Once you prove yourself then it will be easier to get the next project. The first steps are always the most difficult and hard to step out. Once you get over it, things will run smooth later on.

Bloggers Go! Go! Go!

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when an old man with his hand holding a hoe tells you that he’s going to move the mountains in front of his house so that he can create a path straight to the town. “Foolish!” I think that’s the first word that we think of. If not then may be “Crazy!” might fit better. This is actually a famous saying in Chinese -“Foolish old man move mountains”. Well, I might have translated it too direct from the actual Chinese words but the meaning just fits.

I wanted to bring this up because it has something to do with blogging. Especially for those people that wanted to make some extra cash out from it. Most of you all are still at the early stage of blogging for not more then a year. Some have already blog for few years but still not earning much money. The feelings of keep on doing it for long time but still did not get rewarded are share together. Sometimes the word “quit” does strike my mind once in a while. But still I keep blogging because of what the “Foolish old man” said.

“I’ll be the first to start moving the mountains. When I’m unable to do it, then my son will carry on my work. If my son reaches his limit, then my grandson will carry on my work. This work will carry on through generation until the hill is moved. I might not be able to witness and enjoy the completion but at least my grandson or great grandson might gain privilege from it. It might take long time to complete this work but at least it can be done.”

Blogging to make money seems to be very attractive but still need hard work and time. We know that it needs constant posting, tuning and feedback. Just that sometimes you’ll hit by a day that you just don’t feel like or hate to blog. Well this post is for motivation and encouragement. Bloggers Go! Go! Go!

P/S: A little bit sounds like “Forest Gump”, don’t you think?

Million Wiki Again But In Euro

I just post a topic about Million Dollar Wiki just a few days ago and again I’m repeating it but in Euro. It seems that a business that earns a lot of money will always be copied or duplicate. This happens within any kind of business. That’s how the game played. Million Euro Wiki is basically the same as Million dollar Wiki. Not much difference between the both of them, so let see if Million Euro Wiki can do better or not. For start, Million Euro Wiki is giving out a 16GB iPod Touch for every 25 pages sold. That means if you bought a page then you’ll have 1/25 change of winning yourself an iPod Touch. If you’re interested in purchasing the pages then you can follow the link provided by JohnChow to get the 10% discount coupon.

P/S: If you have extra cash, might wanna consider buying yourself a page.

What to do with MyBlogLog?

I’ve sign up with MyBlogLog, put up the widget and what now? When I hopping away through MyBlogLog I’ve seen a lot of so call non active member. Well, I’m talking about members that do not have any contact and communities or only a few of them. The main purpose that we join MyBlogLog is to gain more exposure and traffic. That is if you are able to make full use of it. Signing up and do nothing will not bring anything to you. You still have to do the work. That goes for other community site as well. These are the few basic things that you need to work on to get more traffic.

  1. First you need to join communities, join as much as you can. MyBlogLog allows you to join a maximum of 15 communities each day or you can change your setting to automatically join the communities after 2~3 times visit on the site.
  2. Say hello to everybody. Start interact will anybody that you like. Be nice and I’m sure people will welcome you.
  3. Do some site hopping through MyBlogLog, comment on the blogs when you feel like it. Your face will be capture in MyBlogLog widget.
  4. Never forget to response to those that reaching out to you.

There is no point of joining many communities site but did not actually make full use of it. If you do it right, one single communities site can get you more then enough traffic. That’s really what I did and traffic really has increase.

Rush Hour for BlogRush

This latest site BlogRush come into the net just like gold rush. A lot of people have already put up the widget in their site and you can easily find one when surfing through the net. There are a lot of talking about BlogRush and what it can do for the bloggers. Well, it is suppose to bring more traffic to your blog after you install it. It should works just like MyBlogLog, brings more readers. How does this widget works?

First of all, your blog post title will be distributed under related blogs. If you have an interesting title then readers might click on it and landed at your blog. So, pick your category wisely so that you can target the right readers. Secondly, BlogRush user can earn “syndication credits” base on own traffic plus the user’s traffic that you refer to. This means that the credits that brings your post title up to the widget. The more people you refer, the more chances that your blog post will be up on the widget.

The concept of BlogRush seems to work better for those big brother/sister bloggers. They already have a large amount of traffic and getting referrer is not a problem to them. This widget just makes it better for them. As for those small fish bloggers(like me) that wanted to use this widget to get more traffic, that might be a bit difficult. For start, getting more referrer will be the best way. It’s going to be hard but let see if this works for me.

Wikipedia or Million Dollar Wiki

Most of us should be very familiar with Wikipedia. It is a free encyclopedia on the net, that’s the most command explanation about it. It is a very popular site which a lot of people stop by for information everyday. This let me think that the concept of this site might just be another way to generate income. Thus I found a similar site that works like this. Check out The Million Dollar Wiki. This site is selling a page for $100. Yes, that’s right. $100 US dollar for each page but it’s a once in a life time fee. You get to own the page for good. Each page is dedicated to a unique word or phase. You can use the page to generate traffic, revenue or publicity. It works just like a Wikipedia as you can build the page using the wiki editor which is the same as Wikipedia’s editor. Once the value of the page increases, you have the opportunity to re-sell it. Take it as an investment and secure a word or phrase. If you do the calculation, it’s cheaper to own this one page then hosting a website for a long term basis.

Would it be good to have the chance to go back in time?

We always watch movies that people are able to go back in time to change things that already happened. Movies like “Back to the Future” and “Somewhere in Time” are able to trigger the mind of the human being to say “would it be good if I’m able to go back in time…” Even Harry Potter has a piece of it in “The Prisoner of Azkaban”. I always dream of able to go back in time, even if it’s just for once. There are so many things that I done wrong or shouldn’t of done it. It would be nice to have a change to go back in time to fix those mistakes. But again when we think deeply, without those mistakes we would not end up who we are right now. Because of those mistakes we are able to learn from it and become a better person. So, why should we go back and change it? Thus we should appreciate and cherish the time right now and what we have. Not thinking too much of the past or future, just grab on to the time right now. Still, sometimes the question of “ Can I go back in time to do it again?” might appeared in mind once in a while but this is to remind me of not wasting time and be more aggressive. Sometimes we are too concern about the results or the out come. Maybe the mistakes or failure might be a good thing after all if we put it at the other way around.

What is the one thing that you wish that you could go back in time to fix it? For me definitely LOVE…and this is the drama that touches my heart to write about this - Proposal Daisakusen( プロポーズ大作戦 ) Official website

More pay to blog site

The most popular site that pays you to blog will be PayPerPost, if I’m not mistaken. It seems that this business really is increasing as the numbers of bloggers are increasing rapidly these days. Judging from the number of population in China and India, there will be more people plugging into the net for the years to come. I think blogging might become a popular occupation. Either its part time or full time, everybody can have a piece of it as long as you keep on blogging. If you love to blog, keep up the work. If you haven’t own a blog, then it will be a good idea to start now. Who knows what you write might become popular after a year or two.

Here’s two more pay to blog site for you to increase your revenues.

Having fun with coffee or coffee making fun of us…

If you’re that person that just had to have a cup of coffee everyday, then you might have one of those days that the coffee isn’t going along with you. Bad coffee sometimes just breaks your day in the morning and everything starts to become your enemies. Your work, your boss, your computer, your car, etc. are taking turns to give you a headache. I’m not trying to be…not sure what word to use but I’m just saying that a bad coffee in the morning could just ruin the whole day. Have you ever have the same experience before?

Another thing that I hate most is unable to have my favorite coffee. When you reach a certain point of coffee addiction, coffee takes the same position with beer. No matter what happens, you just got to have them. You will trade anything for just a cup of your favorite coffee, anything at all. Sometimes even your colleague may bribe you with just that cup of coffee. There are times when your coffee is out and you can’t refill it as it was sold out. Plus you have to wait for a week or two for them to stock up. This is the time I declare as red alert because many things might go wrong. How do you hold up without your coffee?

Apsense.com – a free business social network

This is something new for me, Apsense.com – a free business social network where people get paid to come together to share their business. If you blog about your business, then this might suits you. I just took a quick glance through it and there are few things that really caught my attention.

The first thing is that they have a flash presentation on how to build your own private social network. A lot of hard work and time to made this but this really helps the user to understand faster and easier.

The second thing is that they provide a free Apsense Express(APX) that allow us to broadcast messages. This is an alternative email services just for this business purposes. This is nice as you can separate your personal email service with business email services. Traditional email services might not be that suitable for business because some mails might get filtered.

Apsense.com also provide an advance web application to build your own business website and a network building system that connects thousands of business individual. Of cause there’re some upgrades or extra services that you need to pay in order to use them. After all Apsense.com are in the money making business. Judging form the 2 services provided above, they really put themselves at our position and try to make it easier and better. Well, this might not suit everybody but it sure has my thumbs up.

PR5 Linky Love helps you make money online

Not a very good looking blog for a title Linky Love. A pair of pink cars at the upper right corner sure makes some attraction. Lots of links and RSS can be seen at both side of the blog. Well, that’ generally my first impression on the blog. Linky Love is a blog that helps others to rank higher on the internet and make money online. There are a lot of blogs that have the same topic. Generally if you’re looking for a guide or someone that could give you a hand on this category, it will be wise not to go for the top guys. They might not have time for you. Look for those that are new and could answer you. For that, Linky Love is one of your choices.

Swisscash – High Risk Investment Plan!?

It was like a couple of years ago around end of 2005 that I was introduced to this Swisscash investment. It is an investment that brings you 25% on your principal monthly. One of my friends told me about this and wanted me to check on it before he dropped his money into it. I did a detail check on it and found that a lot of the information posted on their website is full of question marks. If you do a search about Swisscash on Google and dig deep about it you’ll get what I mean. I don’t wanna post the facts here because you can get it easily when you do a quick search on it. I’ll just put up some links for your reference if you need more detail info about it.

The Swisscash investment really was hot in Malaysia, so hot that even the local TV network had a piece of it too. There was even a time that I heard the name Swisscash when ever I have my favorite coffee in the coffee shop. People are talking all about it. I even saw a car with large sticker with “Swisscash” on it.

Ok now, back to the serious question. Is Swisscah a HYIP or a scam investment? Well, if you do the calculation of 25% return, it sure is too good to be true. Plus all the facts mention above, no doubt that there is something fishy about it. Despite all these, one important fact that makes it sounds real. That is people are getting their monthly payment on time and never miss a payout.

I call up my friend and explain all I found and guess what he said.

“I could spare the $100 dollars and take the risk of a high return. If the moneys not going in here, it will be going into the lottery. Either way, it’s fine for me as long as I have the chance to earn more money. “

Yes, he did put his $100 dollars into the investment and did earn himself some money. To him, this is just the same as other investment like stock exchange, bank savings, mutual funds and insurance. Losing money here is just the same as losing money in the stock market. There are only 2 things that he consider, win or lose. If he wins, then he’ll get his money back double or triple. If he loses, it will just be another unlucky day to hit the lottery.

If you ask how I think of it…A lot of things go through my mind, things like...Is this legal? Can this kind of investment last long enough for me to get back my money? Will I be in directly hurting somebody? Will I get into trouble if the government declares it as scam or illegal activities? What if I get my money back but not the people I introduce? If you think like me, then it will be better not to join the game.

Lately it seems that this game has reached the end of it and having some bad news or trouble around it. The website is down and some investigation about it has been carried out. Will this be the end of Swisscash? Maybe, maybe not or maybe it will return with a different name and style but serve the same purpose. We all learned that history often repeat itself. When there is desire, there is a will. History does repeat itself, it just happened in a different place, different time.

A Simple blog that has a Google Page Rank 5…Nice

"Everyday Weekender is a fun site that talks about everything from cottage life to food. If you review his blog, he’ll link to it and help increase your page rank!

Ohh, and he’ll also teach you a thing or two about cooking a juicy steak."

That’s generally all about the blog that has a PR5 in Google ranking. I sure really want to know the secret behind it. How long do you need to work on a blog to get to Google Page Rank 5? That’s something that we all need to learn about. If you check out Everyday Weekender, you’ll see that it’s just a simple blog that talks about everything. Yes, it was mentioned above but what I’m trying to say is that even a general blog can be rank well. You don’t have to pick a specific topic to get to that position. Especially if you’re new to blogging it will be a good idea to just blog for anything that comes through your mind. Keep posting everyday and check out other blogs. Eventually you’ll learn and maybe you’ll find one topic that you’ll love to blog about.

Just Do It

P/S : This is my favorite post, check it out.

It's a Bird! It's a Plane! NO! It's Genies !?

I always worried about traffic even in my dream. When I get up in the morning, I worried about the traffic condition to the office. When I get off work, I worried about the traffic on the way back. I don’t want to much traffic on the road so that I could drive smoothly. When I turn on my PC, I worried that there isn’t much traffic to my blog. I want as much traffic as possible so that I could earn a bit of extra money.

Then this morning 2 Genies appear to me and offer me some help. I was very surprise and excited. Without any hesitation I agreed to accept their help. They are willing to give me a magic carpet to avoid the traffic on the road and use their magic to increase my blog traffic. They also grant me 1 special wish. In return they only ask that I follow the rules below and introduce 5 of my friends to them. I was very curios about the terms that they made. They seem to know what I think and said “We just want to make friends, lots and lots of friends”…

Great site for HTML Beginners...

I’m really bad in programming. I always spend a lot of time just by position a picture or a sentence. What I did is I make some changes, save then reload the page to see if the out come is what I want. I often try and error this way to modified my blog. Now that is really time consuming and sometimes can be very frustrating. There are a lot of tricks that we always use when try to modified our blog or webpage. The second thing is I always have problems of remembering these codes. That is why I choose blogger for my blog because I’m able to cut and paste, click and drag the page element. That helps a lot but still my blog still need a bit of touch up. Until today I still did not do the touch up because my touch up is “a touch to bring down the whole blog”. It’s like pressing the explosion button and the whole building just collapse to the ground.

HTML playground really caught my attention. I really have hard time learning Dreamweaver but this site makes me feel easy. I can just get the code that I want to use, learn it, test it and apply it. Easy and fast is what I want. It might not seem to be a complete application but at least it’s a good start for me.

P/S: I get to apply the H2 header and made the object or sentence at the center position.

Full time Blogging or part time Blogging…

cartoon from www.weblogcartoons.com

Cartoon by Dave Walker. Find more cartoons you can freely re-use on your blog at We Blog Cartoons.

I often stumble around the question of “Is it better to do fulltime Blogging then part time?” A lot of the big guy out there really is earning a good amount of money doing fulltime blogging. Now that’s a fact that we know well. So can we follow their steps by becoming a fulltime blogger? I think that’s the question that we have to think it over. One basic rule about blogging is that can we able to post consistently. That’s the output and to be able to do that we need input. This means that we need to find something to write each time. To get more input we need to expose ourselves to a lot of things. Then only we have something to write about. Once we become fulltime in blogging, most of our time will be on the internet. Plus it’s a path that we walk alone. Most of the interaction will be online using email, messenger or phone. Basically it’s a lone ranger. In order to get more inspiration, it’s better to go out and have more social activities. All these experiences will then be translated into the blog. This is considered a healthy life style of a full time blogger.

As a part time blogger, things are pretty much easier. Why? Because you still have your daily job and you don’t have to worry about lunch or dinner. At least you have a monthly income. You might not be able to earn much at the beginning as you don’t have much time to maintain your blog but there are still some benefits. One thing for sure you don’t have to worry about input. Your daily works which enable you to interact with different people sure will give you a lot of topic. Plus your work and company activities also add up some topics too. That’s certainly resource full enough to give you something to write. There is nothing easier then to blog about your own experience.

Choosing between fulltime or part time blogger also relate much to the topic of your blog. If you’re writing about programming, Google, e-book, webpage or things that related to internet and can be found by just surfing the net then it’s good to go fulltime. As this gives you more time to dig into the net. If you’re writing a personal blog, travel, photo, technology then you might want to consider staying part time. Especially if you’re writing a personal blog then you definitely need a daily job. Blogging about yourselves is just mainly blogging about your experience. If you have a busy and wonderful life then you’ll definitely have a great story to tell, and people love to read it.

Free Translator for your site

Finally there is a widget to translate our blog into several languages. Well it might not be that perfect but at least we get to understand it. Of cause there are still a lot of rooms to be improve, better then don't have it at all. You can test it out as I have install it to my blog. I myself knows a few language. I had to study 3 languages during high school and that is a must. The 3 languages are Chinese, Malay and English. At home I learned Hokkian and Cantonese unofficially or informally. That is I learn from my parents and TVs. When I studied in US as a college student I took Japanese for interest. I'm not very good at any of the languages but at least I can communicate using them. The major usage of a language is to be able to communicate with each other. You don't have to be an expert in it to do it. As long as you can tell others what you have in mind then that's good enough. When we think of it that way then it becomes easy to learn other language. Well, that's what I think when I learn Japaneses.
